Cooper Flagg Leads NBA Draft Prospects as Final Four Approaches

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Cooper Flagg‘s standout performance in the NCAA tournament has catapulted him into the conversation for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. As the Final Four approaches, Flagg is just two games away from potentially securing a national championship and further solidifying his position atop draft boards.
Flagg’s impressive stat line includes a 30-point, seven-assist, three-block game against Arizona, showcasing his multifaceted skills. His combination of offensive creation, finishing ability, and defensive prowess has made him a cornerstone player for Duke, which will face Houston‘s formidable defense in the semifinals.
“Cooper has exceeded all expectations, showcasing an incredible blend of scoring and playmaking,” said Jonathan Wasserman, Bleacher Report’s draft analyst. “His performance against top competition has left a lasting impression on scouts.”
Transitioning to the other young prospects to watch this weekend, Duke’s Kon Knueppel and Khaman Maluach are also drawing attention. Knueppel, averaging 14.4 points and boasting a 47.7% shooting percentage, is projected as a top-10 pick. Standing at 6-foot-7, he has demonstrated versatility and efficiency throughout the season.
Malauach, a 7-foot-2 center, is emerging as one of the more intriguing prospects. He may not have gaudy numbers—averaging 8.7 points and 6.8 rebounds—but his defensive capabilities and size have generated buzz among NBA scouts. He delivered a notable performance with 14 points and nine rebounds in the Elite Eight, marking him as a potential lottery pick.
Auburn forward Johni Broome is also capturing attention. With averages of 18.7 points and 10.9 rebounds, he has been pivotal for Auburn’s run in the tournament. Although concerns about his age—he will turn 23 in July—linger, his impactful performance may prompt teams to consider him in the late first or early second round of the draft.
Another name to watch is Houston’s Milos Uzan, who is averaging a career-high 11.6 points this season. His versatility has earned him the “jack-of-all-trades” label, while his performance against Purdue showcased his scoring ability with a 22-point game.
Florida’s Alex Condon, a 6-foot-11 center, has also cemented his status as a prospect to monitor. With averages of 10.8 points and 7.7 rebounds, Condon’s skills on both ends of the floor and strong defensive presence make him an enticing option in the draft.
With the NBA Draft just a few months away, teams are honing in on the Final Four to scout potential picks. As fans of the Utah Jazz anticipate a lottery pick, many will be hoping to see Flagg’s name called first come June. However, this year’s crop of talent ensures that the draft will be full of potential choices in the upcoming selections.
