Corey Graves Wwe Commentary Team 2025

STAMFORD, Conn. — WWE commentator Corey Graves took to social media on Monday to share his thoughts after being sidelined from the company’s main roster commentary teams. The shake-up comes as WWE Raw moves to Netflix, prompting a reshuffle of announcers across its programming.

Graves, who had been a staple on SmackDown alongside Michael Cole, found himself reassigned to NXT following the changes. On January 13, he posted a lengthy message on Twitter/X, reflecting on his career and the challenges of adapting to new roles. “Imagine chasing your dream,” Graves wrote. “Then being TOLD (not deciding) that you’re no longer physically able to pursue your dream.”

The 40-year-old commentator, who retired from in-ring competition in 2014 due to injury, transitioned to a successful career behind the microphone. However, the recent changes have left him questioning his place in the company. “You dedicate your life to something ‘dream adjacent’ and being pretty fucking awesome at it,” he continued. “And then, when it’s time to enjoy the fruits of your labor, you’re told you’re not famous enough for your own job.”

The commentary reshuffle saw Michael Cole and Pat McAfee return to Raw, while Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett moved to SmackDown. Graves, who joined Vic Joseph and Booker T at NXT New Year’s Evil on January 3, appears to be the odd man out for now. However, with McAfee potentially balancing WWE duties with his role on ESPN‘s College Game Day later this year, Graves could find himself back on Raw.

Meanwhile, SmackDown made headlines with Paul Heyman announcing that Roman Reigns will compete in the 2025 Royal Rumble. Reigns aims to reclaim the WWE Championship he lost at WrestleMania 40, setting the stage for a dramatic start to the year.

Graves’ candid remarks have sparked conversations among fans and industry insiders, highlighting the challenges faced by performers navigating career transitions in the wrestling world.
