Nc Courage Vs Angel City Fc

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (June 13, 2025) — The North Carolina Courage are gearing up for a late-night clash against Angel City FC on Saturday, June 14, at 10 p.m. ET. This match will mark the conclusion of a challenging three-match road stretch for the Courage, who are eager to bounce back following a loss.

Currently sitting in 11th place in the NWSL standings, the Courage face off against Angel City, which is just three points ahead in ninth. The match will be televised on ION.

Last weekend, the Courage suffered a defeat against the Washington Spirit, losing 3-1. Manaka Matsukubo was the lone scorer for North Carolina, showcasing her skills with a delicate chip over the goalkeeper, earning her a Goal of the Week nomination for the second time in three weeks. Matsukubo has been in remarkable form, scoring in three consecutive matches, including a brace against Chicago.

Feli Rauch has also made significant contributions, linking well with Matsukubo for goals in recent games. The dynamic duo will be crucial as they face an Angel City team that features top scorers Alyssa Thompson and rookie Riley Tiernan. Together, they have combined for 11 goals this season.

In goal, Angel City relies on Angelina Anderson, who has started every match so far and holds a 61.11% save rate. The match marks Angel City’s second under new head coach Alex Straus, who previously managed Bayern Munich and has brought valuable experience to the sidelines.

The Courage will don their pink kits, while Angel City will wear black for the evening battle. Both teams are looking to gain momentum as the season progresses. The Courage plan to conclude the first half of the season with a home match against the Houston Dash on June 21, a game anticipated by fans.

Fans can catch the action in Los Angeles as these two competitive teams clash in an attempt to secure vital points in the NWSL standings.
