Cowboys Activate Amani Oruwariye from Injured Reserve Ahead of Bengals Game
The Dallas Cowboys made several key roster moves in preparation for their Monday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals. One of the significant changes was the activation of cornerback Amani Oruwariye from the injured reserve list. Oruwariye, who has been dealing with a back injury, is expected to suit up for the game against the Bengals, although he is likely to start in a reserve role.
The activation of Oruwariye comes at a time when the Cowboys are facing some defensive challenges, particularly with Trevon Diggs dealing with a knee injury. If Diggs is unable to play, Oruwariye could see more significant playing time.
In addition to Oruwariye’s activation, the Cowboys also made other roster adjustments. They placed star offensive lineman Zack Martin on injured reserve due to a season-ending ankle injury. Martin, a perennial All-Pro guard, has had a disappointing season marred by various injuries and is set to undergo surgery. His future with the team beyond the current season is uncertain as his contract expires at the end of the year.
The team also placed cornerback Josh Butler on injured reserve after he tore his ACL on Thanksgiving. To bolster their defensive backfield, the Cowboys signed Kemon Hall to the active roster from the practice squad and elevated Andrew Booth from the practice squad on a temporary basis.
