Cowboys Pursue Trade for Star Rusher Maxx Crosby

ARLINGTON, Texas – The Dallas Cowboys have reportedly contacted the Las Vegas Raiders to inquire about defensive end Maxx Crosby as the NFL trade deadline approaches.

The deadline falls on November 4, coinciding with the Cowboys’ bye week. Dallas will host the Arizona Cardinals the night before. Their first game after the bye week is against the Raiders on a Monday night.

Crosby, regarded as one of the league’s top pass rushers, could address a pressing need for the Cowboys, especially following their recent trade of linebacker Micah Parsons, which provided extra draft capital.

Speaking on his podcast, NFL insider Adam Schefter mentioned that the Cowboys are actively exploring potential trade options to bolster their defense. “They are having conversations about moves that they can make before the trade deadline to try to improve that defense,” Schefter stated.

The buzz surrounding Crosby’s availability adds intrigue to the Cowboys’ strategy. Although there has been speculation about Crosby’s future with the Raiders amidst their struggles, he has not publicly expressed a desire to leave.

Crosby has been a consistent performer, recording 63.5 sacks in 102 career games and earning four Pro Bowl selections. This season, he has posted four sacks and 25 pressures, ranking among the top edge rushers in the league.

With the Cowboys possessing valuable draft capital, including two first-round picks for 2026, they are in a position to make a significant move. Crosby is under contract through 2027, making him an attractive long-term option for Dallas.
