Fantasy Premier League Tips 2025

London, England – With only 11 matchdays remaining in the 2024-25 Premier League season, Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers face a pivotal moment as Blank Gameweek 29 approaches. Teams such as Liverpool, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, and Newcastle United will not have fixtures that week, forcing managers to strategize their squads effectively.

The weekend’s FA Cup results added to the unpredictability, complicating the transfer decisions for FPL managers. Although final Premier League fixtures will be confirmed following Gameweek 30, immediate focus needs to be on managing the next few gameweeks, especially Gameweeks 28 and 30.

“Blank Gameweek 29 is anticipated to be one of the largest blank weeks of the season,” said an FPL analyst. “Managers will have to decide whether to utilize their Free Hit chip or maximize their free transfers to navigate this challenge.”

Crystal Palace players, particularly Daniel Munoz (£5.0m), Eberechi Eze (£6.7m), and Ismaila Sarr (£5.5m), are among the top recommendations ahead of this critical gameweek. Their advantageous fixtures against Ipswich Town (H) in Gameweek 28 and Southampton (A) in Gameweek 30 position them as ideal options during this period.

For managers not using a Free Hit chip, targeting Liverpool players also presents an opportunity. With fixtures against Southampton (H) in Gameweek 28 and Everton (H) in Gameweek 30, their fall in ownership may provide an edge for those who retain their assets during Blank Gameweek 29.

Newcastle United faces similar conditions, playing West Ham United (A) in Gameweek 28 and Brentford (H) in Gameweek 30. If fit, Alexander Isak (£9.4m) could be a season-keeper, while Lewis Hall (£5.0m) stands out as a potential defensive option due to his attacking threat.

Chelsea is also noteworthy, with matches against Leicester City (A) and Tottenham Hotspur (H). Midfielders Christopher Nkunku (£5.7m) and Pedro Neto (£6.2m) are cost-effective alternatives who could pay dividends, especially since they are expected to play in more forward positions.

For teams intending to continue without a Free Hit chip during Blank Gameweek 29, using the Wildcard in Gameweeks 30 or 31 may prove beneficial. Several transfers should be aimed at players who have advantageous fixtures in the upcoming weeks.

Following a tough FA Cup exit, Wolves’ leading scorer Matheus Cunha has been suspended, presenting a shift in available options. Jorgen Strand Larsen (£5.2m) has emerged as a fitting replacement with upcoming favorable fixtures.

Meanwhile, players on the cusp of suspension due to yellow cards should remain a concern for managers. Players reaching ten bookings will serve mandatory two-match suspensions, potentially impacting key positions in their teams during crucial fixtures.

As managers set their squads for the imminent gameweek, strategic trade-offs, including holding or offloading players, will become increasingly vital in ensuring a competitive edge during one of the most challenging phases of the season.
