UBERLÂNDIA, Brazil (March 15, 2025) — The 2025 South American Men’s Club Volleyball Championship culminates this Sunday with an exciting all-Brazilian final featuring Praia Clube and Sada Cruzeiro. Both teams secured their spots in the title match after victories in the semifinals on Saturday at the UTC Gymnasium.

Praia Clube, who topped Group A, faced off against Argentina’s Monteros and dominated the match, winning 3-0. Sada Cruzeiro, the reigning champions and leaders of Group C, triumphed over fellow Brazilians Sesi Bauru with a score of 3-1. This final marks a historic moment as it showcases two Brazilian teams vying for the championship title.

With a legacy of success, Brazil has historically dominated this tournament, winning 32 of the 37 editions held thus far. Cruzeiro stands as the men’s volleyball team with the most titles—10—having captured the championship in the last eight consecutive tournaments. Meanwhile, Praia Clube is aiming for its first championship title after recent structural changes and a renewed focus on its volleyball program.

“It’s a remarkable achievement for both teams to reach the final,” said Praia Clube’s coach. “We’re excited about the opportunity to compete for the title, especially as we’ve built a strong team this season.”

Fans can also look forward to an additional competition for third place on Sunday, featuring Monteros and Sesi Bauru, ensuring that the spotlight remains on Brazilian volleyball.

The 2025 South American championship runs until March 16 and includes nine teams total, representing five countries in South America. Besides the Brazilian clubs, teams from Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, and Uruguay are also participants in the event.

Both Praia Clube and Sada Cruzeiro have already secured their places in the upcoming Club World Championship, scheduled to take place from December 15 to 21, 2025. This World Cup opportunity further exemplifies the prowess of Brazilian volleyball on an international stage.

The final match is set to begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, with live streaming available through various platforms, ensuring that fans worldwide can witness this exciting showdown.
