Curry Making Progress Toward Return for Game 4

San Francisco, CA – Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is making strides in his recovery from a hamstring injury, according to ESPN NBA Insider Shams Charania. On Wednesday, Curry engaged in light workouts, including jogging and jump shooting, as he prepares for his potential return.
Charania shared insights on “The Pat McAfee Show” just hours before the Warriors host the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinal series. “I’m told his progression going into [Monday] was really like jogging, some movement into his jump shooting over the weekend,” he said.
In his 16-year NBA career, Curry has never faced a muscle strain of this nature before. The Warriors are taking a cautious approach to his recovery, aiming to have him running, sprinting, cutting, and taking contact before considering him for game action.
Charania indicated that, due to the nature of hamstring injuries, the Warriors want to be extremely careful. “There’s not like a safe way to bring him back from a hamstring injury,” he explained. “This organization has been very measured and careful bringing back players from these significant, soft tissue muscle injuries.”
The Warriors lost Game 1 against the Timberwolves on May 6, but they’re still in contention in a tight playoff race. They must win Monday night to stay alive and potentially set up for Game 6, scheduled for Sunday, May 18.
Despite the obstacles, Dub Nation remains hopeful about Curry’s progress. Fans are eager to see their superstar back on the court.
