CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry has been listed as probable for Friday’s game against the Sacramento Kings following a back injury that kept him sidelined in two recent contests.

Curry, who scored 16 points in Wednesday’s game against the Indiana Pacers, is expected to return to the lineup as the Warriors continue to fight for playoff positioning. His return comes at a crucial time, as LaMelo Ball‘s season-ending wrist and ankle injuries have placed additional emphasis on Curry’s performance.

During the last eight games, Curry has averaged 9.1 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. “It was a tough couple of games, but I feel much better now,” Curry said during a pre-game interview. “The injury reminded me of that fall I took on my tailbone back in Houston, but thankfully this one is less severe.”

Head coach Steve Kerr remained optimistic about Curry’s return, emphasizing the guard’s importance to the team. “We need his leadership and shooting, especially now with LaMelo out. We feel confident he can be a game-changer for us,” Kerr noted.

The game against the Kings is particularly significant as both teams are competing for crucial playoff implications in the Western Conference. The Warriors currently sit one game above the Kings in the standings, making this matchup pivotal.

The Warriors are also managing a roster with several players dealing with injuries. Key contributors like Draymond Green are pushing for consistency as the team navigates a challenging end to the regular season.

Royal Barnett, a sports analyst, stated, “If Curry can return and play effectively, it changes everything for the Warriors. They’ll need him to create space and lead the offense.”

As both teams take to the court on Friday, fans will be watching closely to see if Curry can deliver, further elevating the stakes for this late-season contest.
