Dailymotion Acquires Mojo to Enhance Video Creation Tools

PARIS, France – Dailymotion, the global video platform owned by Canal+, announced on May 16, 2025, that it has acquired Archery, the company behind the popular AI-assisted video creation app, Mojo. Mojo, which boasts over 50 million downloads, offers an intuitive interface and features like brand kits, background deletion, and animated effects, making it a favorite among content creators.
The acquisition allows Dailymotion to integrate Mojo’s tools, enhancing the platform’s offerings for various content creators. “With Mojo, we add an essential cornerstone to our offer… Our ambition is clear: offer creators and brands the best tools to create, distribute, and monetize their videos, in total autonomy,” said Guillaume Clément, CEO of Dailymotion.
Mojo will continue its development alongside Dailymotion’s ecosystem, which means users will see no changes in access. In fact, current and new users will gain direct access to Dailymotion’s distribution and monetization solutions.
Jean Patry and Francescu Santoni, co-founders of Mojo, expressed optimism about the partnership. “The association between Dailymotion and Mojo represents a unique opportunity to put Europe at the heart of the social video experience… For Mojo, it will allow us to join the virtuous loop where Dailymotion users transition from content consumption to creating their own videos,” they noted.
Dailymotion Pro clients and advertisers will also benefit from these new AI-based creative solutions, enabling faster content production with greater personalization and performance. Financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
