Dak Prescott Engaged to Sarah Jane Ramos: Details on the Proposal and Engagement Ring

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has announced his engagement to his girlfriend, Sarah Jane Ramos. The proposal took place during the Cowboys’ bye week, and Prescott shared the news on his Instagram account on October 18.

Prescott proposed to Ramos while they were playing golf, using a clever and sentimental approach. He hid the engagement ring inside a fake golf ball, which nearly led to an unexpected twist when Ramos almost hit the ball with her golf club. Their 7-month-old daughter, Margaret Jane Rose Prescott, played a significant role in the proposal, wearing a onesie with the message “Hi Mommy, Daddy has a question for you?”.

Sarah Jane Ramos, 30, is a Tampa Bay native and a wine specialist. She is a Florida State alum and has been supportive of various sports teams, including the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Florida State Seminoles. Ramos and Prescott started dating ahead of the 2023 NFL season and welcomed their first child, Margaret Jane Rose Prescott, on February 29, 2024.

The engagement ring, designed by Jason of Beverly Hills, is a 10-carat emerald cut diamond positioned between two tapered baguettes and set on an 18-karat yellow gold setting. Prescott was heavily involved in the design process, ensuring the ring was something Ramos would love. “He wanted something classic but with a little flair and that’s exactly what we did,” said Jason Arasheben, CEO of Jason of Beverly Hills.

Prescott and Ramos have kept their relationship relatively private but have shared moments of their life together on social media. Prescott recently signed a four-year contract extension with the Dallas Cowboys worth $240 million, making him one of the highest-paid players in the NFL.
