Dallas Cowboys Hard Knocks 2025

FRISCO, Texas – The Dallas Cowboys will return to HBO‘s acclaimed series Hard Knocks for the first time in 17 years. The show will document the Cowboys and the rest of the NFC East during the 2025 NFL season, with the premiere episode set for December.

This marks the Cowboys’ third time featured in the series, having previously appeared in 2002 and 2008. The upcoming season will follow the Cowboys, New York Giants, Washington Commanders, and Philadelphia Eagles during the final stretch of the NFL season.

“We are thrilled to provide Hard Knocks fans a summer with the Bills and winter with the Cowboys, Giants, Commanders, and Eagles,” said Nancy Abraham and Lisa Heller, co-executive vice presidents at HBO Documentary and Family Programming, along with Bentley Weiner, senior vice president of HBO Sports Documentaries. “There will be no shortage of star power.”

Before the Cowboys take center stage, the Buffalo Bills will be featured in the Hard Knocks training camp series, which is set to debut on August 5. Highlights will include coaching staff Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane, alongside star quarterback Josh Allen.

The 2025 season continues a new trend for Hard Knocks, as it will again document an entire division in-season. The AFC North was highlighted in 2024, which showcased teams like the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals. Earlier editions included the Indianapolis Colts in 2021, the Arizona Cardinals in 2022, and the Miami Dolphins in 2023.

While an official date is yet to be confirmed for the Cowboys’ episode in December, last year’s series featured eight episodes released every Tuesday at 8 p.m. CT. Viewers can expect to stream the series on HBO Max, with narration by Emmy-nominated actor Liev Schreiber.

Fans eagerly await a detailed look at the high-stakes action in the NFC East, as competition intensifies for division supremacy heading into the playoffs.
