FC Dallas Faces AV Alta FC in US Open Cup Match

Frisco, Texas – FC Dallas is gearing up for its US Open Cup match against USL League One side AV Alta FC tonight at 7:00 PM. Played at Toyota Stadium, this match marks an important opportunity for the team to rebound after a disappointing 5-0 loss to San Diego FC last weekend.
Head coach Eric Quill has opted for a mostly first-choice lineup this evening to regain momentum and form, despite anticipating some rotations ahead of Saturday’s match against Real Salt Lake. Logan Farrington leads the attack in a 4-3-3 formation, supported by Bernard Kamungo and Lucho Acosta. The midfield features Brazilian players Kaick and Ramiro, along with Tsiki Ntsabeleng.
In goal, Michael Collodi will make his second start of the season. Defensively, Nolan Norris and Shaq Moore will operate as the wing backs, while Lalas Abubakar and Osaze Urhoghide will serve as center backs. Notably absent from the bench are Paxton Pomykal and Petar Musa, with Quill turning to Maarten Paes, Pedrinho, Augusto Alvaro, Show, Anderson Julio, Diego Garcia, and Tarik Scott as available substitutes.
Manager Quill expressed hope that players like Garcia and Scott could make a significant impact during the match. Currently, FC Dallas has no players suspended, however, Geovane Jesus is ruled out due to a right knee injury, and several others are unavailable for selection.
The winner of tonight’s match will progress to the later rounds of the tournament, which presents a chance for players to gain valuable experience and showcase their talents. Fans can follow the game with the hashtag #FCDvAVFC on social media, and it’s expected to be a sunny 74 degrees at kickoff.
