Dana White And Mark Zuckerberg Discussing Ufc Rankings

In a significant development for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), CEO Dana White has revealed that he is working with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg to improve the UFC’s fighter ranking system using artificial intelligence (AI).

White, who has been vocal about his frustrations with the current ranking system, which relies on a media voting panel, believes that AI can provide a more accurate and fair method for ranking fighters. In an interview with TNT Sports, White expressed his dissatisfaction with the current system, citing frequent mistakes and inconsistencies in the rankings.

The proposed AI-enhanced system aims to replace the media voting panel, although White did not provide specific details on how the new system would work. He assured that there would be “some answers on that soon”.

Mark Zuckerberg, who has been increasingly involved in MMA, including participating in BJJ tournaments and attending UFC events, is set to bring his technological expertise to this project. Zuckerberg’s involvement in MMA extends to being a cornerman for fighters, such as Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298.

This collaboration marks a significant step towards modernizing the UFC’s ranking system, addressing long-standing criticisms and potentially enhancing the sport’s integrity and fairness).
