ATLANTA, Ga. — Atlanta Hawks guard Dejounte Murray has been cleared to play in Tuesday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves after concerns over an elbow injury. The announcement comes just days after Murray recorded his first triple-double of the season during Sunday’s game against the Washington Wizards.

Murray, who has been a key player for the Hawks this season, delivered a standout performance against the Wizards, contributing 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 13 assists. His availability for Tuesday’s game was initially in question after he experienced discomfort in his elbow during the contest. However, team medical staff confirmed he is fit to play.

The Timberwolves, who are coming off a victory against the Los Angeles Clippers, will face a Hawks team looking to build momentum. Murray’s presence on the court will be crucial as Atlanta aims to improve its standing in the Eastern Conference. The veteran guard has averaged 21.5 points, 6.2 assists, and 5.1 rebounds per game this season, making him one of the team’s most consistent performers.

Hawks head coach Quin Snyder expressed confidence in Murray’s readiness. “Dejounte is a competitor, and he’s been working hard to stay in top shape. We’re glad to have him back on the court,” Snyder said during a press conference on Monday.

Tuesday’s matchup will also feature a clash between two of the league’s rising stars: Murray and Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards. Edwards, who scored 33 points in Minnesota’s recent win, has been a driving force for his team this season. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m. ET at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
