Democratic Presidential Candidate Marianne Williamson Visits Las Vegas for Campaign Events
Democratic presidential candidate Marianne Williamson will be making a three-day visit to Las Vegas as part of her campaign events leading up to the Feb. 6 presidential primary. Williamson, an author and previous 2020 presidential candidate, plans to host a series of public and private campaign events from Thursday to Saturday and engage with supporters, community leaders, and students during her visit.
The long-shot candidate is facing off against incumbent President Joe Biden, who recently secured victory in the New Hampshire primary. Despite the odds, Williamson has been able to garner support and traction from younger voters, making her campaign an interesting one to watch.
Some of the notable events she has lined up during her visit include a Thursday morning event at the Reynolds Brothers Co., a press conference at the Martin Luther King Jr. statue on Carey Ave. in the evening, a Friday town hall event at The Circus Center, and a Saturday morning early voting canvass launch at her campaign office located on Sahara Ave.
Throughout her campaign, Williamson has focused on key issues such as promoting universal health care, advocating for tuition-free college, canceling student loan debt, and guaranteeing paid family leave. Her campaign aims to amplify the voices of millions of Americans who are calling for a change and a path towards repairing the damage caused by corruption.
