New Jersey Devils Jersey Rocks Night February 22 2025

NEWARK, N.J. — The New Jersey Devils are gearing up for their Jersey Rocks Night, scheduled for February 22, 2025, at Prudential Center, where they will face the Dallas Stars at 6:00 PM. This special evening, presented by Prudential Financial, will celebrate the 150th anniversary of Prudential while integrating the vibrant music scene of New Jersey.

The event will feature live performances from local bands, including Have Mercy! and Royals, during pregame and intermissions. In addition, the first 9,000 attendees will receive complimentary co-branded ‘Jersey’ hats, courtesy of Prudential. The collaboration highlights both Prudential’s commitment to community support and the Devil’s dedication to local music.

Richard Parkinson, Chief Brand Officer at Prudential, commented, “Prudential is pleased to celebrate our 150th anniversary with the New Jersey Devils, a long-time partner who shares in our commitment to supporting communities across New Jersey.” The partnership demonstrates the importance of local collaborations, emphasizing the shared journey between the Devils and Prudential.

Prudential’s involvement extends beyond just the game. On the main concourse, fans can participate in an AI photo activation, allowing them to see AI-generated images of their future selves as they plan for retirement. The event will also include a Block Party featuring sweet treats, fan milestones, and the live performance from Have Mercy!. Additional activities include a chance to bid on a customized Fender electric guitar and drum head, with proceeds supporting local educational initiatives.

“We are excited to bring people together to celebrate not just Prudential’s anniversary but the rich musical legacy of New Jersey,” said Parkinson. The evening is set to be more than just a hockey game; it will be a celebration of community, artistry, and partnership.

Prudential has a long history as a financial services leader, originally established in 1875 by John Fairfield Dryden. Today, the company boasts approximately $1.5 trillion in assets under management and serves over 50 million customers across 50 countries. Over the past decade, Prudential has invested more than $1.2 billion into the local community, particularly in Newark.

As Prudential continues to focus on innovation and community building, their contributions to Newark are significant. Mayor Ras Baraka previously noted the company’s role in revitalizing the area around Prudential Center through housing and commercial projects aimed at enhancing community engagement.

Longtime fans of the Devils know that the franchise is more than just a sports team; it serves as a unifying force for families and friends. Jay Weinberg, drummer for the band Slipknot and a devoted Devils fan, recalls the role that hockey played in strengthening family bonds and fostering a love for the game.

“The Devils were our family’s first obsession together. It really made us rally around a common interest unlike anything we had before or since,” he said. As fans from various backgrounds come together to celebrate the event, the Jersey Rocks Night promises to strengthen the bond between the community and its beloved team.

As the game approaches, excitement builds not only for the match against the Dallas Stars but also for the community engagement and celebration of New Jersey’s rich culture. For fans and their families, this event is more than just a night of hockey; it’s a night of shared experiences, music, and lasting memories.
