Devils' Michael Mcleod And Cal Foote Granted Leave Of Absences By Team

The New Jersey Devils have announced that forward Michael McLeod and defenseman Cal Foote have been granted indefinite leave of absences from the team. The decision came as a surprise to many fans and pundits who were expecting the duo to continue contributing to the team’s success on the ice.

McLeod, who was selected with the No. 22 pick in the 2016 NHL Draft by the Devils, has been a key player for the team this season. With 19 points in 45 games, including 10 goals and nine assists, McLeod’s absence will undoubtedly be felt. In his 287 career games with the Devils, he has tallied 85 points, showcasing his importance to the team’s offense.

Foote, on the other hand, was picked at No. 14 in the 2017 NHL Draft by the Tampa Bay Lightning before eventually joining the Devils. Although he has only registered one assist in four games this season, Foote has shown promise throughout his career. With 20 points in four years, including five goals and 15 assists, his defensive skills will be missed on the ice.

Both McLeod and Foote have also been involved in off-ice headlines recently. A report in London, Ontario, Canada revealed that five members of the 2018 Canadian junior hockey team are facing sexual assault charges. While no players have been named, it is worth noting that McLeod and Foote were part of that team, raising questions about their involvement.
