Dodgers Extend Losing Streak to Six with Tough Loss to Brewers

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin — The Los Angeles Dodgers‘ struggles continued as they fell 3-2 to the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday, marking their sixth consecutive defeat.
Manager Dave Roberts had previously expressed concern about the team’s lack of ‘fight’ during their season-long five-game losing streak. However, on Wednesday, the Dodgers showed signs of improvement against the Brewers at American Family Field, only to come up short.
Despite an encouraging return from the injured list, the Dodgers managed only five hits throughout the game. The lineup struggled to capitalize on scoring opportunities, and closer Scott Barlow failed to hold a ninth-inning lead.
The Dodgers initially seemed to take control of the game, going ahead 2-1 with a bases-loaded walk and a sacrifice fly. However, Andrew Vaughn‘s game-tying RBI single in the ninth inning and Jackson Chourio‘s walk-off single in the tenth sealed the Dodgers’ fate.
“Knowing the rough patch we’re in, it’s really hard to take this one, because you just want to stop it,” veteran infielder Miguel Rojas said after the game.
This loss marks the longest losing streak for the Dodgers since April 2019, raising concerns about the team’s performance as they look to bounce back.
