Dodgers Recall Wrobleski, Option Feyereisen Ahead of Series Finale

LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled pitcher Justin Wrobleski from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday and optioned J.P. Feyereisen as they prepared for their series finale against the Oakland Athletics.
This marks Wrobleski’s second stint with the Dodgers this season. The 24-year-old left-hander has previously had a tough season with a 14.40 ERA in his sole major league performance back in April against the Washington Nationals.
Wrobleski has been more effective at Oklahoma City, where he went 1-1 with a 4.14 ERA in six starts. In his most recent outing, he allowed just one run in seven innings against Albuquerque.
Feyereisen, 32, returns to the minors after a short stay with Los Angeles. He was claimed off waivers on May 1 and appeared in only two games, where he posted a 13.50 ERA.
Manager Dave Roberts confirmed that Matt Sauer would start Thursday’s game against the Athletics, citing the need for a bullpen game due to injuries affecting the pitching staff. Roki Sasaki was also placed on the injured list this week.
Wrobleski’s addition comes at a critical time as the Dodgers prepare for six more games in their homestand following Thursday’s matchup. This will allow the bullpen to manage their workload more effectively throughout the coming days.
Wrobleski aims to capitalize on this opportunity as the Dodgers juggle their pitching staff due to ongoing injuries.
