Miami Dolphins Tyreek Hill Press Conference

Palm Beach, FL — Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel addressed media speculation regarding wide receiver Tyreek Hill‘s future with the team during a press conference on March 31, 2025.

Amid an eventful offseason, McDaniel assured reporters that the Dolphins are not currently looking to trade Hill. “We are fully planning to move forward as a better version of our relationship with Tyreek and the Miami Dolphins,” he stated. His comments come as fans speculate on Hill’s status after a series of cryptic social media posts.

When pressed about the certainty of Hill remaining with the team for the upcoming season, McDaniel responded with a light-hearted tone. “I mean, I can certainly say with certainty that at this certain moment,” he joked, noting the unpredictable nature of the NFL. “A lot of things can happen in the National Football League, so you throw absolutes out there, and then — ‘Hey, you said this!'”

Hill ended the previous season on a high note, participating in activities after Miami’s final game against the New York Jets. However, speculation intensified when Hill shared a post on social media suggesting a possible goodbye, prompting questions from fans and analysts alike. General manager Chris Grier later clarified that Hill had not requested a trade.

McDaniel also mentioned that he hasn’t discussed Hill’s recent cryptic tweets with the player, acknowledging Hill’s expertise in social media antics. “Tyreek’s known for whatever antics on social media,” he remarked. “If something really needed to be communicated, I would hear it from him directly.”

Despite the ongoing speculation, McDaniel noted that Hill has frequently visited the team’s facility this offseason and is working closely with new wide receivers coach Robert Prince. Hill recently underwent offseason surgery on his wrist for ligament damage. McDaniel confirmed that the team is not rushing Hill’s recovery, stating, “He is able to run at this point, and we hope he will be available to use his hands and catch footballs by the end of the offseason program in late May.”
