Miami Dolphins Vs Indianapolis Colts 2024

The Miami Dolphins have endured a challenging start to the 2024 NFL season, struggling with early setbacks. However, a crucial victory over the New England Patriots has provided a glimmer of hope. Following a well-timed Week 6 bye, the Dolphins are preparing to further distance themselves from a three-game losing streak as they face the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday.

“I would say that [the bye] came at the right time, just because we came off of a three-game losing streak and then we ended up winning against the Patriots,” a team representative stated. “It just feels like – I’m happy that it happened early. Yeah, it’s going to be tough because we have a long stretch, but we’re not the only team in the league that had a bye week that week. So we’re just excited to move on and our focus right now is the Colts.”

The Dolphins have shown potential in their rushing game, gaining momentum with a notable performance of 193 rushing yards against the Patriots. Raheem Mostert remains healthy, while fellow running back De’Von Achane has been cleared from concussion protocol. The team also benefits from rookie tailback Jaylen Wright, who averages 4.8 yards per carry across 29 attempts.

On the opposing side, the Indianapolis Colts present a formidable defense, despite ranking 31st in rushing defense and allowing 155.2 yards per game on the ground. Recently, the Colts have made defensive adjustments, achieving a 2-1 record over their last few games.

“We’re just excited about the opportunity to go out here and try to run against the Colts,” Mostert commented. “They got a good defense though. They got [Zaire] Franklin at the linebacker position and [E.J.] Speed, they both are great linebackers that are running down, and they’re pretty fast and they’re making plays for themselves. So it’s going to be a challenge, but we’re excited for the challenge.”
