Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale Streams on Peacock November 7
LOS ANGELES, CA — The third and final movie in the “Downton Abbey” franchise, “The Grand Finale,” will be available for streaming on Peacock starting November 7, 2025. The film, which was released in theaters on September 12, grossed over $100 million worldwide and received positive reviews.
The film continues the story from the beloved television series that first aired in 2010. “The Grand Finale” explores the lives of the Crawley family and their staff as they navigate changes in 1930s Britain while facing personal challenges.
Julian Fellowes, the creator of the series, highlighted that a central theme for the franchise has been the preservation of Downton’s dignity through tumultuous times. He remarked, “Many hardcore ‘Downton’ devotees will know that one of the mainstay themes of the franchise has been preserving Downton’s well-earned honor across the changing times.”
The film features a star-studded cast including Hugh Bonneville, Michelle Dockery, Jim Carter, and Elizabeth McGovern, and is directed by Simon Curtis, who helmed the previous installment as well. Fans can also watch all six seasons of “Downton Abbey,” along with the 2019 film and its 2022 sequel “A New Era,” on Peacock.
In addition to “The Grand Finale,” Peacock will release the Bob Odenkirk action film “Nobody 2” on November 2 and the animated movie “The Bad Guys 2” on November 21. The anticipation for the streaming debut of “The Grand Finale” is high, closing out a franchise that has captivated audiences for over a decade.
Fellowes hinted at the possibility of revisiting the “Downton Abbey” universe, stating, “I think first and foremost is hoping that the fans love this movie and feel it’s the final button on the whole thing.”
