Draymond Green Receives Flagrant Foul in Game 6 Against Rockets

San Francisco, Calif. — Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors was called for a flagrant foul just three minutes into Game 6 of the first-round playoff series against the Houston Rockets on Friday night. The foul occurred while Green was setting a screen for teammate Stephen Curry.
As Green tried to escape a hold from Rockets guard Jalen Green, he raised his arm and inadvertently struck Jalen in the head. The contact sent Jalen to the floor, leading officials to review the play. Initially called an offensive foul, it was upgraded to a Flagrant-1 foul upon review.
This penalty resulted in two free throws for Houston, which Jalen successfully converted, and possession of the ball. The Rockets capitalized on the opportunity, scoring during their next possession.
Draymond Green’s foul marked the second flagrant foul of the series for the forward, who has also accumulated several technical fouls throughout the playoffs. With this latest infraction, he inches closer to a potential automatic suspension due to cumulative flagrant foul points.
The Warriors entered the game with a series lead of 3-2, aiming to secure a victory to advance to the second round. Draymond has been an integral part of the team, averaging 6.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game in the playoffs.
