Drew Barrymore And Sza Talk Show Appearance

NEW YORK — Actress and talk show host Drew Barrymore shared a dramatic story of revenge during an episode of “The Drew Barrymore Show” on Monday, recounting how she dealt with a cheating ex. Grammy-winning artist SZA, making her first-ever talk show appearance, listened as Barrymore detailed her bold retaliation.

Barrymore revealed that after discovering her ex’s infidelity, she didn’t wallow in sadness. Instead, she took action. “I took all of his stuff in my house and I put it all in his car and then I rolled his car down his driveway and left it there and just walked away,” she told SZA. But her revenge didn’t stop there.

The actress went on to confront the woman her ex had been cheating with. “I made the girl he was cheating on me with meet me for drinks with him sitting there,” Barrymore said. “I was like, ‘You’re gonna sit here and you’re going to listen to the two of us talk! So shut up and listen!'” After the confrontation, she drove her ex home and coldly told him, “Now get out.”

This wasn’t Barrymore’s first act of revenge. She admitted to another incident from her teenage years, when she vandalized an ex-boyfriend’s car after he cheated on her. “He cheated. He deserved it,” she said, explaining that she spray-painted his car. When he called her the next day, panicking and asking if she was responsible, Barrymore denied it but couldn’t help but laugh at the memory.

Despite the fiery confrontations, Barrymore and her ex eventually reconciled. “We were young and stupid. I did dumb things too,” she said, reflecting on their past. “Later, I’m like, ‘Listen, you know what, we were just kids. I made mistakes too and we’re human beings. There was so much I loved about you. Can we be in each other’s lives?'” The two ultimately became “dear friends.”

SZA, however, had a different perspective on forgiveness. When Barrymore suggested that “time heals” all wounds, the singer quipped, “No, it don’t. Time passes, baby.” SZA also praised Barrymore’s younger self, saying, “That wasn’t stupid, that was fire. I’m inspired.”

The episode marked SZA’s first appearance on a talk show, adding a layer of significance to the candid conversation. Barrymore’s stories of revenge and reconciliation resonated with viewers, sparking discussions about relationships, forgiveness, and the lengths people go to when betrayed.
