Cooper Flagg Dunk Duke Basketball Pitt Game

Duke basketball star Cooper Flagg electrified fans with a jaw-dropping dunk during Tuesday’s game against Pitt at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The freshman guard intercepted a pass near Pitt’s basket, sprinted the length of the court, and slammed a one-handed dunk over Pitt forward Guillermo Diaz Graham, drawing a foul in the process.

The play, which occurred with 17:33 remaining in the second half, sent the crowd and Flagg’s teammates into a frenzy. Flagg completed the three-point play with a successful free throw, further cementing his status as one of college basketball’s most exciting players.

Flagg, the projected No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA draft, has been a standout performer for the No. 4-ranked Blue Devils this season. Coming into Tuesday’s game, he averaged 17.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game. His versatility and athleticism have made him a key player for Duke, which led Pitt by double digits midway through the second half.

Pitt entered the game on a five-game winning streak but struggled to contain Flagg and the Blue Devils. The Panthers‘ defense, which had been solid in recent outings, was unable to slow down Duke’s offensive momentum.

Flagg’s dunk quickly went viral on social media, with fans and analysts praising his athleticism and court awareness. “I think for me, my whole mindset this whole year has just been trying to get better every single day,” Flagg said in a recent interview. “As we’ve gotten more comfortable as a team, we’ve come together more, and our offense has definitely sharpened up a lot.”

The freshman phenom has consistently filled the stat sheet, averaging 1.6 steals and 1.3 blocks per game in addition to his scoring and rebounding contributions. In a recent game, Flagg recorded a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds, showcasing his ability to impact games in multiple ways.

Duke’s victory over Pitt further solidified their position as one of the top teams in college basketball this season. With Flagg leading the charge, the Blue Devils are poised to make a deep run in the NCAA tournament.
