Eagles Acquire Alexander Ahead of NFL Trade Deadline
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — The NFL trade deadline is approaching, with teams looking to bolster their rosters before the second half of the season. The deadline is set for 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
The Philadelphia Eagles made a significant move by acquiring two-time Pro Bowler Jaire Alexander from the Baltimore Ravens for a 2026 sixth-round draft pick and a 2027 seventh-round pick. Alexander, who signed a one-year deal with the Ravens after being released by another team, has played in only two games this season.
Philadelphia previously added cornerback Michael Carter II and currently ranks 18th in the NFL for opponent passing yards, allowing an average of 215.9 yards per game. With a record of 6-2, the Eagles lead the NFC East.
Meanwhile, the Baltimore Ravens, sitting at 3-5 after winning their last two games, continue to look for improvements as the halfway point of the season approaches.
As for the Cleveland Browns, sources say there is “no chance” Myles Garrett will be traded before the deadline. Garrett, a top edge rusher in the league, has recorded ten sacks this season, tying him for the league lead. However, the Browns are struggling with a 2-6 record.
In other trade news, the New England Patriots sent safety Kyle Dugger to the Pittsburgh Steelers in exchange for a sixth-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Dugger, previously a second-round pick in 2020, has 441 tackles and nine interceptions during his career with New England.
The San Francisco 49ers traded defensive end Keion White to the New England Patriots for a sixth-round draft pick, following a significant injury to one of their key pass rushers.
The New York Jets have received trade inquiries regarding defensive tackle Quinnen Williams and running back Breece Hall, though it remains uncertain if they will move either player. Hall, in particular, has garnered interest ahead of the deadline.
Additionally, the Los Angeles Rams traded for cornerback Roger McReary from the Tennessee Titans, improving their secondary as they aim to contend in the NFC with a 5-2 record.
The trade deadline looms with many teams still evaluating their positions, both as buyers and sellers. As the league gears up for a crucial second half, further trades may reshape various rosters.
