Eagles Draft Ty Robinson to Strengthen Defensive Line

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania – The Philadelphia Eagles have added strength to their defensive line by selecting Ty Robinson, a defensive tackle from Nebraska, with the 111th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft on April 26, 2025.
Robinson, who will turn 24 next week, played 60 games throughout his college career from 2019 to 2024. His performance peaked last season with 13 tackles for loss, seven sacks, and one forced fumble, all of which highlight his growing potential.
The Eagles needed to deepen their defensive tackle position following Milton Williams‘ departure in free agency. Robinson’s style of play has been described as physical and aggressive, making him a good fit for Philadelphia’s defensive rotation.
“Ty is a tough player who can match the physicality needed in the trenches,” said a scouting report. “He is effective at getting to the quarterback and has the versatility to play in different defensive formations.”
Despite his strengths, Robinson has areas that need improvement. He tends to struggle in the run game and may face challenges against opponents with better leverage due to his shorter arms. Nevertheless, his quickness and athletic ability could help him develop into a valuable asset.
With the selection of Robinson, the Eagles are looking to build a formidable defensive front. Robinson’s ability to contribute as an interior pass-rusher could be crucial as he adjusts to the professional level.
“He may not be a star, but his work ethic and strength could lead to a productive career in the NFL,” the report concluded. For Philadelphia, every addition counts in their pursuit of another championship.
