Eagles Prepare for NFL Trade Deadline with Key Rumors and Moves
PHILADELPHIA, PA — The NFL trade deadline is just days away, and the Philadelphia Eagles are at the center of numerous trade rumors as they prepare for the deadline on Tuesday, Nov. 4. With a bye week in Week 9, general manager Howie Roseman is busy assessing potential deals to boost the team’s roster for the second half of the season.
Roseman has a reputation for being thorough in scouting available players across the league. This year, the Eagles have already traded for two cornerbacks and are rumored to be in the search for more players to fill depth concerns on their roster.
As injuries have impacted their lineup, sources indicate that the Eagles are particularly interested in adding edge rushers. Reports also mention that Philadelphia has its eyes on Dolphins linebacker Jaelen Phillips, with a possible trade involving a Day 2 draft pick, as Miami may need to shoulder part of Phillips’ contract.
On Nov. 1, it was reported that the Eagles wanted to acquire Phillips, with Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio expressing his admiration for the player. Furthermore, the Eagles have contacted the New York Jets about linebacker Jermaine Johnson.
Adding to the recent activities, the Eagles recently acquired two-time Pro Bowler Jaire Alexander from the Baltimore Ravens for a sixth-round pick in 2026 and a seventh-round pick in 2027. Alexander, who struggled to find playtime this season, aims to bolster the Eagles’ secondary, which currently ranks 18th in the NFL for opponent passing yards.
Despite some concerning stats, the Eagles continue to lead the NFC East entering Week 9. However, the organization is faced with strategic decisions regarding players like A.J. Brown, who has expressed frustration over the offensive performance this season.
The NFL trade deadline offers teams a final chance to enhance their rosters or part ways with players before the season enters its crucial stages.
