East XI Narrowly Defeated by West in Weather-Affected Cricket Match
A cricket encounter between the East XI and West XI was played under challenging weather conditions, reducing the match to 30 overs per side at Carlton Cricket Club. The East XI, batting first, reached a formidable total of 203-7. Kash Hussein emerged as the top scorer with 43 runs, ably supported by Kaushik Suresh and Nabkishore Pani, who contributed 29 and 25 runs, respectively.
Despite their respectable performance, the East XI could not secure victory as West XI managed to chase down the target, posting 204-3. Key contributions to West XI’s pursuit came from various batsmen, while Sureesh, Euan Wrench, and Nithin Lehka claimed a wicket each for the East XI.
