Efcc Upgrades Social Media Account

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) recently announced that their social media account on ‘X’ is temporarily down for an upgrade. This upgrade aims to enhance the experience for the public.

According to EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale, the downtime is a normal part of system upgrades. He explained that when systems are being upgraded, they may become inaccessible for a short time.

Oyewale reassured users that the commission’s other social media platforms, like Facebook and Instagram, are still up and running without any issues.

He emphasized that the account has not been hacked and will be back online soon, stating, “We are doing the upgrade to serve the public better.”

Currently, the landing page of the EFCC’s ‘X’ account, which boasts over two million followers, reads: ‘The term you entered did not bring up any results. Please try again later.’

In light of this, the agency is also updating records on their account. Oyewale pointed out that there can be many reasons for an account being inaccessible, including poor internet connection or other technical glitches.

Despite the hiccup with the ‘X’ account, users can still access relevant information through the EFCC’s official website and other active social media profiles.
