In a remarkable incident, police have released video footage showing an eight-year-old girl driving an SUV in Bedford, Ohio, on her own to a Target store. The video, captured by a concerned driver, shows the SUV swerving along the road, prompting him to call emergency services.

The situation unfolded on a Sunday morning when the family of the young girl reported both their child and the vehicle missing. Authorities were quick to act, and fortunately, the girl was found safe in a nearby Target store, approximately 25 minutes away from her home, as she completed her shopping.

The young driver informed police officers that she had hit a mailbox during her journey. However, she provided no additional details regarding why she chose to make the trip or the manner in which she navigated her route.

Due to her young age, officials confirmed that she could not face criminal charges. As of Monday, authorities had not disclosed whether any charges would be considered as the case continues to be investigated.
