STRASBOURG, France — Fourth-seeded Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan advanced to the quarterfinals of the Internationaux de Strasbourg with a commanding 6-1, 6-3 victory over China’s Xinyu Wang on Tuesday. Rybakina displayed impressive form, striking six aces and saving all break points she faced in the 65-minute match.

In the next round, Rybakina will face Poland’s Magda Linette, who defeated Slovakia’s Rebecca Sramkova with a score of 6-4, 6-3. Rybakina’s performance highlights her strong start in this clay-court tournament ahead of the French Open.

Meanwhile, third-seeded Paula Badosa of Spain saw her match against Marie Bouzkova of the Czech Republic end prematurely, as Bouzkova retired while the score was tied at 3-3 in the second round of this WTA 500 event.
