England displayed a record-breaking performance against Oman in the T20 World Cup 2024, securing a dominant win in just 19 overs – setting the stage on fire with their exceptional skills. The English team fiercely bundled Oman for a mere 47 runs and then chased down the target with 101 balls to spare.

This victory against Oman marks one of the largest winning margins in T20 World Cup history, with England surpassing Sri Lanka’s record. Previously, Sri Lanka defeated the Netherlands with 90 balls remaining in 2014.

With this win, England strengthens its chances of advancing to the Super-8 stage of the tournament. Currently placed third in Group B with 3 points, England has outperformed Namibia and Oman in the points table, trailing behind Australia and Scotland.

Adil Rashid was the standout performer for England in this match, stunning with an impressive spell of 4 overs, giving away just 11 runs and claiming 4 wickets. Jofra Archer and Mark Wood also contributed significantly by grabbing 3 wickets each, posing a formidable challenge to Oman’s batting lineup.
