England Tops West Indies in Thrilling 2nd T20I Match

Bristol, England – England claimed a nail-biting victory over the West Indies in the second T20I match on June 8, 2025, winning by four wickets with nine balls remaining.
The West Indies batted first, scoring 196 runs for six wickets. Shai Hope led with a solid 49 runs, while Evin Lewis added 47 runs. Adil Rashid faced a tough time, conceding 31 runs in one over, which was the second-most expensive in England’s T20 history.
Despite a powerful innings from the West Indies, England’s batting lineup responded effectively. Captain Jos Buttler scored 47 runs off 36 balls, continuing his exceptional form from the previous match.
Harry Brook made a notable contribution, scoring 34 runs, and the team’s depth showed as their middle-order batsmen accelerated their innings with a combined total of 56 runs from just 21 balls.
England’s impressive chase was aided by Sam Billings and other young players, reinforcing their dominance in the series with a 2-0 lead.
