49ers Eye Long-Term Deal for Brock Purdy Amid Contract Talks

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — The San Francisco 49ers are preparing to make quarterback Brock Purdy one of the highest-paid players in franchise history as contract negotiations begin. Purdy, the last pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, has emerged as the team’s long-term starter, earning praise from coaches, teammates, and analysts alike.

“We have interest in Brock being around here for a long, long time,” general manager John Lynch said.
