49ers Injury Report: Latest Updates Ahead of Week 12 Game Against Packers
The San Francisco 49ers are facing significant injury concerns as they prepare for their Week 12 game against the Green Bay Packers. One of the most critical injuries is to quarterback Brock Purdy, who is dealing with a sore right shoulder. Purdy participated in practice on Thursday but experienced discomfort and left the field after throwing a few passes. His status for the upcoming game is uncertain, and he is listed as questionable.
Defensive end Nick Bosa is also questionable due to a hip injury, and he did not practice on Thursday. Tackle Trent Williams is managing ongoing ankle issues and is listed as questionable. Linebacker Tatum Bethune, who sustained a sprained MCL during the game against the Seahawks, is doubtful and will be out for a while.
Tight end George Kittle, who has been dealing with a hamstring injury, is expected to practice on Wednesday, according to Coach Kyle Shanahan. However, his status remains questionable. Wide receiver Jacob Cowing has been ruled out due to a concussion, and defensive tackle Kevin Givens is questionable with a groin injury.
Other notable injuries include linebacker Dre Greenlaw, who could be designated for return from injured reserve and resume practicing this week, and cornerback Charvarius Ward, who is out for personal reasons. The 49ers have also placed several players on injured reserve, including Brandon Aiyuk, Jon Feliciano, Talanoa Hufanga, Javon Hargrave, Ambry Thomas, and Elijah Mitchell.
The team’s injury situation is critical as they fight for a playoff spot with a current record of 5-5. The upcoming game against the Packers will be a significant test for the 49ers’ depth and resilience.
