Renowned Hausa Singer’s Mother Kidnapped in Katsina State

The Police Command in Katsina State has confirmed the kidnapping of a 75-year-old woman identified as Hauwa’u Adamu, who happens to be the mother of the well-known Hausa singer, Dauda Kahutu Rarara. The incident took place at her residence located in Kahutu village in Danja Local Government Area of Katsina State. ASP Abubakar Aliyu, the spokesperson for the command, provided details of the unfortunate event.

According to ASP Abubakar Aliyu, the elderly woman was abducted in the early hours of Friday, prompting a swift response from the authorities. The Danja Divisional Police Headquarters received information around 1:30 a.m. that suspected kidnappers had invaded Hauwa’u Adamu’s home in Kahutu village and took her captive. The police immediately mobilized a team to the scene to apprehend the perpetrators and secure the safe release of the victim.

Despite the prompt action taken by the police, the kidnappers had already fled the scene with Hauwa’u Adamu. Following the incident, two suspects were arrested during the investigation for questioning in connection to the abduction.
