ESPN’s ‘College GameDay’ Returns to Ames for Iowa State-TCU Showdown

AMES, IowaESPN‘s “College GameDay” is set to return to Ames on Feb. 8, as No. 3 Iowa State men’s basketball prepares to host TCU at Hilton Coliseum. The popular pregame show will broadcast live from the arena ahead of the 11 a.m. tipoff, which will air on ESPN+.

The Cyclones, currently ranked third in the nation, will face TCU in a Big 12 conference matchup. Iowa State boasts a dynamic scoring duo in Curtis Jones, averaging 18.1 points per game, and Keshon Gilbert, contributing 15.6 points per game. TCU, with a 10-10 overall record and 3-6 in conference play, is led by guards Noah Reynolds and Vasean Allette, who average 12.4 and 11.3 points per game, respectively.

ESPN’s crew, including Rece Davis, Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg, Jay Williams, and Andraya Carter, will be on-site for the broadcast. The show last visited Ames for a basketball game in 2015, when Iowa State defeated Kansas 86-81. The most recent visit was for a football game in 2021, where Iowa State fell to in-state rival Iowa, 27-17.

Iowa State officials are expected to release additional details about fan access and door opening times in the coming days. The event marks a significant moment for the Cyclones, who are looking to capitalize on the national spotlight and continue their strong season.
