ESPN Highlights Top Women’s College Basketball Matchups This Week

ARLINGTON, TexasESPN is set to deliver extensive coverage of women’s college basketball from February 12-18, while featuring more than 250 games across its platforms, including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, and ACC Network. This week will showcase top teams and high-stakes matchups as universities compete for conference rankings ahead of Championship Week.

Among the highlights, Sunday will present a doubleheader on ABC featuring No. 7 UConn facing No. 4 South Carolina at 1 p.m. ET, followed by No. 5 LSU challenging No. 3 Texas at 3 p.m. ET. The preview show begins at 11 a.m. ET, hosted by Elle Duncan, with insights from analysts Andraya Carter and Chiney Ogwumike.

“We’re excited to have marquee matchups showcased especially as teams are positioned for tournament play,” Duncan stated. “This is the time when every game counts.”

The action on ESPN2 includes a top-10 faceoff on Thursday as No. 3 Texas travels to No. 8 Kentucky at 7 p.m. The weekend continues on Saturday with exciting matchups including Southern Indiana against Lindenwood at noon on ESPNU.

“Having the top programs on national television highlights the growing competition and talent in women’s college basketball,” said the ESPN spokesperson.

This week’s schedule also features an ACC showdown between No. 10 NC State and No. 12 North Carolina, set for Sunday at 2 p.m., as both teams aim to improve their conference standings.

Furthermore, the ACC Network will provide coverage of games featuring ranked teams like No. 2 Notre Dame and No. 19 Georgia Tech, with notable broadcasts including Miami taking on NC State on Thursday.

The SEC Network will broadcast six games this week, headlined by fourth-ranked South Carolina hosting Florida on Thursday night at 7 p.m. This will feature analysis from Eric Frede and Christy Thomaskutty.

“It’s a pivotal week ahead of us, and we’re looking forward to showcasing the intensity that women’s basketball brings to sports,” added the sports analyst from SEC Network.

ESPN+ will stream additional games, featuring programs such as No. 11 TCU and No. 25 Baylor among others. Kansas State will kick off ranked action on Wednesday against Cincinnati at 6:30 p.m.
