Essendon Football Club has strategically adjusted its lineup in preparation for the highly anticipated Anzac Day clash against traditional rival Collingwood.

The Essendon Bombers, led by Captain Zach Merrett, have made a significant change to their forward structure, reintroducing key target Peter Wright for the first time since round two.

Wright, who served a four-week suspension, will bolster Essendon’s goal-kicking options, enhancing their attacking prowess ahead of the crucial encounter.

In making way for Wright, second-year player Elijah Tsatas drops out of the starting lineup, while small forward Matt Guelfi, Nate Caddy, and Tsatas have been named as emergencies for the clash.

Zach Merrett, who will lead Essendon on Anzac Day as Captain, is set to play a pivotal role in guiding the team through the high-stakes match, alongside ruckman Todd Goldstein who eyes a significant milestone with 26 more hitouts to reach a career total of 10,000.
