Excitement Builds for 2025 Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The streets of St. Petersburg will transform into a high-speed spectacle as the 2025 Firestone Grand Prix unfolds from February 28 to March 2, 2025. The event, expected to attract around 200,000 motorsport fans, will feature a 1.8-mile, 14-turn street course, utilizing downtown roads and the runway at Albert Whitted Airport.
Preparations are in full swing for the annual race, which showcases elite drivers and their teams in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. This year’s races will kick off with practice sessions on February 28, followed by qualifying on March 1, and the main race at noon on March 2. Fans will also have the opportunity to join a charity fun run on February 27, where they can experience the track firsthand while supporting the Police Athletic League of St. Petersburg.
Tickets for the Grand Prix range from $30 to $130 for single adult admission, depending on the seating area and the day. Discounts are available for children and multi-day ticket packages. For attendees needing parking, the Tropicana Field will be an accessible option, charging $30 per day, while local garages will offer spaces based on availability.
Shuttle services will operate between Tropicana Field and the race course, providing fans an easy route to the event. In addition, PSTA‘s SunRunner service and the Cross Bay Ferry will offer transportation options for visitors. Riders using the SunRunner are encouraged to download the app for discounted fares.
This year’s Grand Prix will be broadcast live on FOX 13 starting at noon on March 2, allowing those unable to attend to cheer for their favorite drivers from home.
