Excitement Builds for Liga MX Jornada 11 and Classic Matchups

Mexico City, Mexico – The Liga MX’s Clausura 2025 is poised for an exciting Jornada 11, featuring critically anticipated matchups including the iconic Clásico Nacional between Chivas and América. This weekend’s action, starting March 7, will also see multiple teams debut new coaches, adding to the competitive atmosphere.
Action kicks off on Friday, March 7, with three matches, including San Luis against Juárez at 8:00 p.m. CT, followed by Tigres facing Querétaro at the same hour on FOX Deportes and Estrella TV. Puebla will round out the evening as they take on Pumas at 10:00 p.m. CT on TUDN.
On Saturday, March 8, the schedule heats up with Toluca versus Necaxa at 6:00 p.m. CT on Univision and TUDN. Pachuca will challenge Mazatlán at 8:00 p.m. CT, while a highlight of the weekend occurs at 9:05 p.m. CT when Chivas hosts América at Estadio Akron, broadcast live on Telemundo.
“This Clásico is particularly significant as it impacts standings significantly,” stated Liga MX analyst Juan Pérez. “Both teams are striving for a top position leading into the Liguilla.”
The weekend continues on Sunday, March 9, with Santos against León at 6:00 p.m. CT on TUDN, followed by Tijuana and Atlas closing the weekend at 9:00 p.m. CT.
In addition to these matches, the Clásico Nacional is just one of three significant meetings in a week; it will also include games from the Concacaf Champions Cup. The first leg of this matchup takes place on March 5 at the Estadio Akron at 7:30 p.m. CT, aired on TUDN and ViX. The return leg will occur on March 12 at Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes.
With new coaching appointments for teams like Tigres and Pumas, the stakes are high. “We’re excited about the opportunity to showcase our strategy against formidable rivals,” said new Tigres coach Guido Pizarro ahead of their match.
This Jornada 11 is more than just the classic rivalry; it also marks the much-anticipated debut of Sergio Ramos with Monterrey as they visit Cruz Azul on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. CT, available on Canal 5 and TUDN.
