Exciting Gamper Day With Fc Barcelona

Today is an exciting day for FC Barcelona fans as it’s Gamper Day! The team will be showing off their new coach Hansi Flick at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, just a week before they kick off the competitive season against Valencia.

This Gamper event is special because it marks the beginning of a unique season for Barça. In three months, they’ll celebrate their 125th anniversary and return to the newly upgraded Spotify Camp Nou.

Today’s guests, AS Monaco, are making their debut at this event, and they are also celebrating a big milestone – their centenary! They were the runners-up in the French championship last season, and it’s their first time at the Gamper.

This match is the only game Barcelona will play in Europe before the official season starts. So far, they’ve had mixed results in preseason, with victories against Man City and Real Madrid, but also a penalty defeat to AC Milan.

Before the game starts, fans can expect the senior staff and players to be introduced. Among them is the new addition Dani Olmo, who is returning to the club where he spent much of his youth.

For those coming to enjoy the match in person, there are a lot of fun activities planned before the 8 PM CEST kickoff. Fans watching from home can catch the game on the free Barça One streaming service starting at 6 PM CEST, including all 90 minutes of gameplay.

For this match, players like Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal will be available to play. They recently contributed to Spain‘s Euro 24 victory and will be eager to show their skills on the field.

However, fans won’t see Pedri as he returns with an injury, and Gavi and Frenkie de Jong are also recovering from past injuries and will be sidelined for today’s game.

There’s also a special farewell planned for captain Sergi Roberto, who is moving on from the club. This may happen during the Gamper event too.

AS Monaco, who are finalizing their preseason before their league starts against Saint-Étienne, come into this match after a mixed set of results in their friendlies. They’ve had one win, two draws, and three losses so far.

This matchup will be exciting, especially since Monaco has never played at the Gamper before and is looking to get a win against the Catalan giants who they’ve faced before but haven’t beaten.
