Exciting Summer Soccer Awaits at The Soccer Tournament 2025

CARY, North Carolina – The Soccer Tournament (TST) kicks off on June 4, 2025, featuring 48 men’s teams and 16 women’s teams, all competing for a grand prize of $1 million. The event runs until June 9 and will be streamed, with 20 of the matches broadcasting on ESPNU.
This year marks the third consecutive summer that TST is held in Cary. The inaugural tournament took place in 2023, where Newtown Pride FC emerged as the winner. In 2024, La Bombonera and the U.S. Women’s National Team claimed the titles in their respective brackets.
The tournament introduces a unique rule called “target score time” to conclude games. A match ends when a team reaches a score that is one point higher than the leading score at the end of regulation time. Additionally, one player from each team exits the game every three minutes until the target score is attained.
Participating teams this year include notable international clubs, along with a roster of star players. Men’s players include Sergio Agüero, Diego Godín, and Andy Carroll. On the women’s side, Hope Solo, Ali Krieger, and Carli Lloyd are among the competitors.
Fans can catch games in the field directly or through various online platforms. TST continues to gain popularity, positioning itself as a thrilling alternative to traditional soccer leagues.
With significant prize money and a focus on entertainment, TST is set to attract a diverse audience, making it an exciting centerpiece of the summer sports calendar.
