“We executed our game plan excellently tonight,” said AS FAR Rabat coach Alexandre Santos. “The players showed great discipline and determination, which is crucial in such a high-stakes match.”

Pyramids FC’s challenges were compounded by their inability to capitalize on opportunities, with several players receiving yellow cards, a sign of their struggle to maintain control against the home team’s robust defense.

Following the victory, AS FAR Rabat’s players celebrated with their fans, acknowledging the critical support their home crowd provided throughout the match. The stadium, which has a capacity of approximately 25,000, was filled with enthusiastic fans who created a vibrant atmosphere.

“We knew Pyramids FC had a strong lineup, but we focused on our strategy, and it paid off,” El Fahli stated after the match. “This win is a testament to our hard work and perseverance this season.”

The quarterfinals featured AS FAR Rabat facing stiff competition, having previously lost to Pyramids FC 4-1 in the first leg. The home victory reversed the outcome, showcasing the team’s resilience.

As AS FAR Rabat advances, they will now prepare for the next phase of the CAF Champions League, aiming for continued success on the continental stage.
