Ferrari‘s Charles Leclerc led the final practice session at Albert Park ahead of the Australian Grand Prix qualifying. Reigning champion Max Verstappen from Red Bull closely trailed Leclerc’s time.
The top-eight drivers were within four-tenths of a second of each other, creating a tight competition. Racers including Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, Fernando Alonso, Sergio Perez, and Australian Oscar Piastri were all in the mix.
Oscar Piastri’s impressive performance was noteworthy, surpassing his McLaren teammate Lando Norris. Piastri showcased strong driving skills, particularly in sector 1, marking significant progress.
Daniel Ricciardo faced challenges during the practice session, with team mate Yuki Tsunoda outpacing him. Ricciardo incurred the second-slowest time, sparking concerns over his pace.
