Robin Van Persie Feyenoord Psv Match

Rotterdam, Netherlands – Feyenoord head coach Robin van Persie has chosen Gijs Smal as left back for the crucial match against PSV in round 32 of the Eredivisie this Sunday. This decision means Quilindschy Hartman will remain on the bench.

Van Persie is facing several personnel issues but has solid options on the left at De Kuip. Along with Smal, he also considered Hugo Bueno and Hartman, ultimately opting for Smal against PSV. Central defender Gernot Trauner returns to the lineup, replacing Thomas Beelen. Dávid Hancko will also feature in the match, alongside right back Givairo Read.

The rest of the starting lineup for Feyenoord will be familiar to fans. The midfield will consist of Inbeom Hwang, Jakub Moder, and Antoni Milambo, while Anis Hadj Mousa, Ayase Ueda, and Igor Paixão lead the attack. This trio scored a total of eight goals in the last two matches, with Feyenoord defeating PEC Zwolle 4-0 and Heracles Almelo 4-1.

The stakes are high for both teams. A victory for PSV will secure their spot in the Champions League, while a win for Feyenoord could pave the way for Ajax to clinch the championship later on Sunday. This would further intensify the battle behind the Amsterdammers.

Feyenoord’s starting lineup includes Wellenreuther; Read, Trauner, Hancko, Smal; Hwang, Moder, Milambo; Hadj Moussa, Ueda, Paixão. PSV will field Benítez; Ledezma, Flamingo, Boscagli, Mauro Júnior; Veerman, Til, Tillman; Perisic, De Jong, Lang.
