Fifa Men's World Rankings: Morocco Leads African Teams, Nigeria Climbs

The latest FIFA Men’s World Rankings, released today, show Morocco leading all African men’s national football teams, with Senegal, Nigeria, Egypt, and Cote d'Ivoire closely behind.

This follows the recently concluded 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, where the Super Eagles of Nigeria lost 2-1 to host Cote d’Ivoire in the final.

Despite the loss, Nigeria’s Super Eagles significantly improved in the global ranking, jumping from 42nd to 28th position.

The Eagles also moved up to third place in Africa, showcasing their strong performance.

Points in the rankings are awarded based on the outcomes of FIFA-recognized full international matches using a specific points system.
