Finn Balor Wrestlemania 41 Backstage Interview

Las Vegas, NV — WWE star Finn Bálor opened up about the potential return of his Demon character during an interview on The Ringer Wrestling Show ahead of WrestleMania 41, which takes place tonight. Bálor expressed his desire for greater creative control regarding the portrayal of The Demon if it is revived.

“I feel like there is a time and a place for The Demon and it hasn’t been right for probably a couple of years,” Bálor said. “That’s something that needs to be fixed and addressed and something I want to go back to in the future. Right now, I don’t feel like, certainly this is the weekend for it.”

The Demon, a character known for its supernatural and dark qualities, has been a significant part of Bálor’s career, but he has not utilized it consistently in recent years. Bálor noted that he believes the character’s past appearances may not have maximized their potential.

“For whatever reason, it was kind of overused a little bit. I don’t even know if ‘overused’ is the right word, but it wasn’t used as effectively as I would have wished in the past,” he explained. “In the future, if we do it again, I would like to have more creative input in how it’s done, and I feel I’m in a good place now that I would be able to.”

Bálor’s desire for creative input reflects a broader trend in wrestling where performers seek more control over their characters, especially when it comes to memorable and impactful personas like The Demon. His comments indicate not just a wish for the character’s revival but also a plea for constructive collaboration with WWE’s creative team.

The anticipation for WrestleMania 41 is high, with fans eager to see how Bálor will be featured in upcoming matches, including his participation in a Fatal Four-Way match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. As The Judgment Day member prepares for the event, Bálor’s reflections on The Demon character resonate with many wrestling fans who appreciate the storytelling aspect of professional wrestling.
